Keeping your children safe at United Camps

Children’s welfare is our primary duty at United Camps.

Whilst your child is in our care, we are responsible for their well-being and safety. As such, your child’s welfare is our main concern in everything we do.

Safeguarding refers to all things that adults do to keep children safe and protect them from harm.

To keep your children safe and for your peace of mind, United Camps do the following things:

Each camp has a Designated Safeguarding Lead and supporting deputy. These are staff members specially trained by external agencies to deal with safeguarding issues.
All our staff are trained in safeguarding and child protection and know to talk to their Designated Safeguarding lead if they have any worries about a child.
We will refer any worries about a particular child to the local Safeguarding Board, who will advise us on the best action to take.
We also encourage parents to discuss matters concerning their child with a team member to help us carry out our duties effectively.

What do our parents say?

We've just done October Half Term at Rishworth and it was excellent. The Camp lead - Ellie - was superb and our son loved every minute. Aside from the activities being varied and interesting, our son loved the new timetable that was pinned up showing all the activities for the week and the new achievement badges he worked towards. He couldn't wait to go in each day and is really looking forward to the next one.
